The Committee on the Future of Education Research at IES was commissioned by the Institute of Education Sciences to inform the National Center of Education Research and the National Center of Science Education Research on critical problems where new research is needed; new methods or approaches for conducting research; new types of research training investments; and how to best organize the application process to meet the needs of the field.
