Title: Data-Driven Understanding of Teaching and Learning Experience in the Age of AI
Abstract:
The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has opened vast opportunities for transformative educational practices. However, meaningful transformation must be grounded in a comprehensive understanding of teaching and learning processes. In this talk, I will present our ongoing research that leverages campus-wide data analytics in capturing and analyzing teaching and learning experiences. I will highlight findings about 1) equitable instructional design and 2) digital inequalities accompanying the widespread availability of AI tools. Emphasizing the untapped potential of existing institutional data, the presentation illustrates how such insights can drive informed instructional and institutional adaptations to navigate the educational landscape shaped by AI.
