Registration for the four UNL summer sessions begins March 7. No registration appointment is required. Any student can register on MyRed anytime on March 7 and thereafter. Students who are on academic probation should consult with an adviser before enrolling in summer classes.

Students can take a maximum of three hours in the pre-session and six hours in each of the five-week sessions. Students who need financial aid must file the Summer Aid application, which will be available mid-March on MyRed. The application will not be processed until the student is registered for summer hours. Full-time status for the purpose of financial aid is 12 hours over all summer sessions. To receive aid for summer, students must be enrolled in a minimum of six hours total over all summer sessions.
