Winter Break interrupts N-E Ride shuttles

N-E Ride shuttle buses carry students, faculty and staff between Lincoln and Omaha.
N-E Ride shuttle buses carry students, faculty and staff between Lincoln and Omaha.

The N-E Ride shuttles will run through the end of the Fall Semester (Friday, Dec. 20).

The shuttles will not run Dec. 23-Jan. 12 for the Holiday Break. The service will resume when Spring Semester classes begin Jan. 13.

Engineering students and employees with the college key tags will have first priority for seating, as space allows. If you don't yet have a key tag, you can pick one up from the Dean's Office in Othmer or in PKI (Toni or Norma).

Also, with wintry weather, closely monitor the N-E Ride website and shuttle tracker app (links below) for the most up-to-date schedule information.

In the case of inclement weather, the college works with Arrow Stage Lines and other local entities to closely monitor travel conditions between Lincoln and Omaha. There are several instances in which the shuttle schedule can be affected:

  • If either UNL or UNO cancels classes prior to morning classes beginning, the shuttles will not run.

  • If classes are canceled on either campus during the day, Arrow will try to complete any shuttles already in transit and/or provide the next available shuttle.

  • If road travel is deemed by law enforcement to be hazardous, shuttles will not run or the schedule may be adjusted.
