Curriculum Hackathon offers $1,000 top prize

Would you or your RSO be interested in winning up to $1,000 of prize money for participating in a fun event that will help you make a change in the Nebraska community?

If so, you should participate in a ‘Curriculum Hackathon’ that will be held Feb. 22-23, where groups of 4-5 people will compete to build interactive STEM curriculum for elementary school students.

Groups will (you can have multiple groups for one RSO) will have the two competition days to come up with an idea for a curriculum and a prototype for what it would look like in action in a classroom. Breakfast and lunch (and snacks) will be provided both days, as well as materials for any interactive activities your group may wish to create.

For the winning groups, their curriculum will be taught in after school clubs around the state and the country, and they will receive ample cash compensation for their RSO. In addition, more money can be earned after the competition for “perfecting” the winning curriculums — e.g. fixing errors, adding additional lessons, etc.
