October 27, 2012 Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam Sign Up Thursday, August 23, 2012, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM OTHMER HALL LOBBY. Register Early!

Staff from the Nebraska Board of Engineers and Architects will be on campus to assist students with filling out applications for the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam to be given on October 27, 2012. Please bring the names and phone numbers and/or email addresses of five people you will use for references on the application form. Examples of references are: fellow students, teachers, professors, civic leaders, employers, etc. No member of the Nebraska Board or their relatives will be accepted as a reference. Reference also cannot be relatives. International students must also bring copies of their USCIS documentation (current student visa and I-94). Students with foreign bachelor degrees will not be able to take the October exam unless their application has already been approved by the Board. All board applications must be completed in full or they will not be processed.
Members from Chi Epsilon will also be on hand with information regarding the FE Study Sessions.

Students at UNL must have senior standing (completion of 89 credit hours or more) at the time the application is submitted. We will do our best to have a list of all seniors available; however, on the day of the visit you may be asked to obtain a letter from the Dean’s office for proof of your senior status.

The $30 application fee to the Board is waived for first time applicants currently enrolled in an ABET - Accredited Engineering Program in Nebraska or a graduate of such, and applying to taking the FE exam for the first time.
