(OMA) Mark your calendars to attend the The Durham School Career Fair at Scott Conference Center (Oct. 3-5). More than 75 employers will be present, and students can learn about jobs and internships.
The Durham Career Fair is an invaluable opportunity for engineering students to meet employers face-to-face, make contacts, explore career options and inquire about full-time employment and internships.
If you are a student in architectural engineering, civil engineering, construction engineering or construction management from our Lincoln or Omaha campus locations, then you should plan on attending. Even as a first year student, it is important to experience what the career fair has to offer. There is always the chance that you could land that perfect summer internship.
The fair begins Monday, October 3, with Internship Presentations from 4-5:30 p.m. Engineering students who have completed internships will share their experiences.
Following that is the Employer/Student Networking Mixer from 5:30-7 p.m. This is an opportunity for students to meet with representatives of many companies, firms and industries in a relaxed atmosphere and discuss all topics related to engineering and the professional workplace.
On Tuesday, October 4 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. is the Career Fair, featuring booths and representatives from more than 75 employers.
Employers will hold on-campus interviews with students on Wednesday, October 5 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
