Student Office Assistant ($15/hr)
The Office of the President is seeking applications for a student office assistant to work up to 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Applicants must be a UNL student enrolled in their sophomore year or above, have previous office experience with strong interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills with an eye for detail, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency in Microsoft Word. Crime Victim’s Reparations Program Intern
The Nebraska Crime Victim's Reparations team provides financial assistance to victims of crime. We have all the policies and procedures in place, but we need help making them as clear as possible. We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented unpaid intern to help us create an organized, professional, and accessible set of documents that will help us serve Nebraskans even better. We are housed in the Crime Commission at the State of Nebraska. You'll help us combine our existing policies and procedures into a single, uniform, and easy-to-read policy handbook and standard operating procedures guide. Your work will ensure that our team has a consistent and reliable reference. Your efforts will directly improve the clarity of our application forms and letters, making the process of seeking help less stressful for victims during a difficult time. This internship is a chance to make a tangible impact by improving the efficiency of a critical public service. We're looking for a compassionate and critical thinker who is an expert with Microsoft Word and is interested in how programs are governed by statutes and regulations. Photo & Audiovisual Collections Cataloging Assistant ($13.50/hr)
The Nebraska State Historical Society is hiring a student worker to help index the AV portion of the KMTV collection. There are about 4 years, or 60 binders, worth of entries that need to be added to an existing spreadsheet. This project will greatly aid researchers looking for stories from that time period, and will help to better serve Nebraskans. The footage is also utilized by news stations frequently. Workstudy students only.

Museum Collections Assistant ($13.50-$15/hr)
The Nebraska State Historical Society is hiring a student worker to assist in the Museum Collections Department at the Nebraska History Museum (131 Centennial Mall North). Student will assist with collections inventory and updating electronic catalog records. Must be able to lift 30 pounds and climb ladders. Good attention to detail and data entry experience desired. Hours must be completed on a set schedule between 9:00 AM and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Workstudy students only.

Museum Education Assistant ($13.50-$15/hr)
The Nebraska State Historical Society is hiring an Educational Assistant. The education assistant will assist education staff with field trips and hands-on-learning activities and community outreach. They will be able to practice designing hands-on-learning activities, and prepping materials for educational events. Workstudy students only. Deadline to apply is October 1.

Marketing & Communications Support ($13.50-$15/hr)

The Nebraska State Historical Society Marketing and Communications Team are looking for people interested in social media support, NSHS News release and internal Newsletter writing support, and graphic design support. Visitor Services Assistant ($13.50-$14/hr)
The Nebraska State Historical Society is hiring a Visitor Services Assistant. Job duties include assistance for restocking and merchandising the gift shop, checking in orders received, updating our POS system, and helping with register/front desk duties if needed. Basic counting/cash register experience preferred, Excel or data entry experience would be a plus, retail experience in general is preferred. Workstudy students only. Deadline to apply is October 1.

Video Production Student Worker
Nebraska Public Media is looking for a student who wants to gain knowledge and experience in video production, Avid editing, graphic design and television studio production. Create and edit short video segments and develop skills in content storytelling in the areas of Membership, Fundraising, and Station activities and caption creation. Assist in creating graphic based content for social media. Assist producers with show preparation, research, and field production. Share responsibility for cataloging and record keeping of digital media, archive footage and research materials. Assist in gathering information for short and long-form documentaries and other projects. Deadline to apply is October 28.
