Global Café: Coffee & Conversation with Saitama Guests
Friday, Sept. 19 | 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Louise Pound Hall, Second Floor Lounge
This will be our final Global Café of the semester with our visiting students from Saitama University. It’s always a warm, informal space for students to meet new friends, enjoy tea and pastries, and connect across cultures.
Exhibit Opening: Starting a Family: Chinese Folk Textiles for Marriage and Children
Friday, Sept. 19 | 5:00 – 7:00 PM
International Quilt Museum, Reception Hall
This exhibit is the culmination of work by Dr. Emira Ibrahimpasic's students in ANTH 492, in collaboration with our Saitama University guests. We’re now in the third year of this partnership, and it’s been incredible to see how much students learn and create together. I couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve accomplished, and I am so excited to see their work on display at the International Quilt Museum.
Both events highlight the power of student collaboration and global exchange, and I would love for you to join us. Please also share these opportunities with your students, they’re open to everyone and such a valuable way to experience the richness of international partnerships on campus.
