Video Production Student Worker
Nebraska Public Media is looking for a student who wants to gain knowledge and experience in video production, Avid editing, graphic design and television studio production. Create and edit short video segments and develop skills in content storytelling in the areas of Membership, Fundraising, and Station activities and caption creation. Assist in creating graphic based content for social media. Assist producers with show preparation, research, and field production. Share responsibility for cataloging and record keeping of digital media, archive footage and research materials. Child & Family Services Internship ($15/hr)
Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Child and Family Services Internship will learn how our Child and Family Services Specialist serve some of our most vulnerable populations. If you are currently enrolled in a college or university, and require an internship to complete course work, take a look at this opportunity! We have opportunities at many of our local DHHS offices across the State. Interns will shadow our Child and Family Service Specialist to gain hands on experience. CFSS roles are rewarding, yet challenging, as they provide opportunities, services, and programs that promote a healthy, safe, and stable environment for children/youth in our communities with their caregivers. CFSS work closely with families that need child welfare intervention because of abuse and/or neglect. CFSS will sometimes work with the legal system toward permanency goals. Case managers are trained on resources necessary to help children and families heal from trauma in their lives, and on the importance of promoting community safety. In Children & Family Services, we aim to provide the least disruptive services when needed, for only the amount of time necessary to give children the opportunity to succeed, live with dignity and respect and help families care for themselves. Education & Outreach Coordinator ($22/hr)
OutNebraska works to empower, celebrate, and cultivate thriving queer and transgender communities across the state. The Education and Outreach Coordinator promotes and supports the educational work of OutNebraska. The Education and Outreach Coordinator facilitates incoming requests for training and presentations and prospects for additional educational opportunities. The Education and Outreach Coordinator also works with Nebraska Competes, a nonpartisan coalition of businesses dedicated to LGBTQIA2S+ equality in the workplace, to enroll new members and connect them with potential training and resources.
