Education & Outreach Coordinator
OutNebraska works to empower, celebrate, and cultivate thriving queer and transgender communities across the state. The Education and Outreach Coordinator promotes and supports the educational work of OutNebraska. The Education and Outreach Coordinator facilitates incoming requests for training and presentations and prospects for additional educational opportunities. The Education and Outreach Coordinator also works with Nebraska Competes, a nonpartisan coalition of businesses dedicated to LGBTQIA2S+ equality in the workplace, to enroll new members and connect them with potential training and resources. This role requires comfort in public speaking about queer and trans issues and identities. Deadline to apply is November 5.

Language & Literature Curatorial Internship, Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture ($1700 Spring Semester, REMOTE)
The National Museum of African American History and Culture’s (NMAAHC) Office of Curatorial Affairs (OCA) facilitates the intellectual work of the Museum by collecting artifacts, ensuring collection preservation and stewardship, conducting research and scholarship, and sharing the rich history and culture of African Americans and all people of African descent with a diverse public in accessible, multifaceted ways including exhibition, digitization, and publication. The Language and Literature Internship will provide the opportunity for the selected applicant to learn about curatorial department operations and curatorial practices. These operations and practices include curatorial team dynamics and collaborative work with IT, Education, Public Relations, Advancement, Collections Management, Conservation, and Digitization. The intern will also learn about 1) the role and value of collections in documenting history, 2) curatorial strategies for collecting objects and archival materials, and 3) historical research methods associated with objects and topics. The bulk of this work will relate to projects in language and literature. Deadline to apply is November 9.

Student Assistant, Business Office, College of Law ($15/hr)
The College of Law Dean’s Office located on East Campus is seeking a positive, conscientious, reliable, business focused student for the position of Student Assistant for the Business Office.
Primary duties include:
• Assisting with Business Office tasks such as financial reporting, budgets, accounts payable, and other office support responsibilities.
• First point of contact as reception in the Dean’s Office: greeting and assisting visitors and answering main phone line, directing to appropriate college or campus resources.
• Will include assisting with confidential tasks and special projects using Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint; as well as Adobe Acrobat and SharePoint.

The College of Law Dean’s Office located on East Campus is seeking a positive, conscientious, reliable, customer service focused student for the position of Student Assistant.
Primary duties include:
• First point of contact as reception in the Dean’s Office: greeting and assisting visitors and answering main phone line, directing to appropriate college or campus resources.
• Assisting with administrative tasks such as copying and scanning projects, recycling, event set up/cleanup, and other office support responsibilities.
• May include assisting with confidential tasks and special projects using Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint; as well as Adobe Acrobat and SharePoint.
• This position works closely with the College of Law administrative team and regularly interacts with faculty, staff, students, guests, business professionals, donors and alumni.
