The Film Studies Program, with support from the Ross and Emerging Media Arts, is bringing to campus filmmaker and professor Booker T. Mattison on December 5 and 6. Mattison will screen his two Tubi Orignal Films, as well as his BET+ Original, The Sound of Christmas (just in time for the holiday break!) and will host a Q&A following both evening programs:

Mattison is associate professor of Entertainment and Media Studies at the University of Georgia. He holds an MFA in film and television production from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University where he studied under Spike Lee, and a BS in mass communication from Norfolk State University. At the University of Georgia he teaches directing, screenwriting, and production capstone. Mattison has held academic appointments at Hampton University, Regent University, the College of New Rochelle, and Brooklyn College of the City University of New York.
