Writing Center Assistant ($15/hr)
Writing Center Assistants provide in-person reception and other support functions for the Writing Center, including greeting visitors, answering phones, scheduling appointments, entering data, and providing general academic resource and referral information. Writing Center Assistants must be prepared to act in a friendly and professional manner, work as a member of a team, maintain confidentiality where required, check email and Slack regularly, and attend required staff meetings and training sessions. Applicants must be willing to commit to a weekly schedule, demonstrate professional written and oral communication abilities, and demonstrate an ability to perform daily administrative tasks. Marketing Intern ($16.50/hr)
The University of Nebraska Office of the President is hiring a marketing intern for the University of Nebraska High School. The marketing office intern will be expected to fulfill the following duties on a regular basis:
• Assist in content development, writing, editing and proofreading of marketing communications including social media, website content, news articles, email, and other marketing content.
• Assist in planning and scheduling social media content
• Assist in the planning, execution and evaluation of organic social media.
• Assist in the coordination of marketing campaign tasks and working with communication processes; as directed.
• Assist in the coordination and visual design execution of internal communications (email and web content); as directed. This may include some graphic design, videography, photography and photo editing.
• Assist with content development or proofing for print or online publication.
• Assist in any projects assigned by Assistant Director of Marketing & Recruiting, which may include general office duties, miscellaneous errands, preparing for meetings, and other responsibilities as they may arise. (General office duties may include mailings, drafting of letters, copying, faxing, typing, filing, organizing, etc.)
• Assist the UNHS Marketing team with additional tasks and projects as needed.

SGIS Work Study Student Worker ($15-16.50/hr)
The School of Global Integrative studies is seeking applications for part-time student workers who are Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program eligible for the 2025-2026 academic year. Position will include answering phones, scanning materials, delivering and picking up items on campus, posting on social media, recycling, general cleaning, and other duties as assigned. Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Acrobat. Preference for students with an Anthropology, Geography, or Global Studies major/minor. Students are encouraged to apply even if they do not have all skills listed, if they are willing to learn from experienced staff and faculty. Deadline to apply is January 1.

University Housing Desk Program: Fall 2026 Desk Assistants ($15-16/hr)
Desk Assistants (DA's) are the welcoming face of the University's residence halls and union spaces. As one of the first people residents and guests interact with, DAs play a critical role in creating a sense of "home" for students living on campus by providing excellent customer service to all members of the campus community. Desk Assistants are responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and friendly environment by assisting with administrative tasks, security procedures, and resource management. DAs serve across City and East Campus at both residence hall desks and union information desks, supporting daily operations and ensuring an exceptional experience for students and guests. University Housing Desk Program: Fall 2026 Mail Processing Assistant ($15/hr)
Mail Processing Assistants (MPA) work behind the scenes in the residence halls to ensure residents receive packages and letter mail accurately and on time. MPAs are vital to the student experience of living on campus, need to be dependable, and enjoy completing tasks while working independently. The MPA position works closely with the Desk Program by providing hands-on mail processing for 5500+ students who live in the residence halls. MPAs play a vital role in the on-campus experience and help keep one of the University’s most important support systems running smoothly at both City and East Campus residence halls. This position is worked independently and is best for someone who has a high attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy. Mail is delivered daily and needs to be processed in a timely manner including game days, during campus shutdown, and fall/winter/spring breaks. Deadline to apply is January 9.
