Business Advising and Student Engagement (BASE) in 125 HLH is seeking a positive, conscientious, customer service focused student for the position of Student Assistant. This position is open to UNL students in any major. Work study students are encouraged to apply. The Student Assistant will provide front-desk and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations in the department. This role involves scheduling appointments, answering phone and staff email inquiries, greeting and checking in students for scheduled meetings and drop-in hours, and assisting staff with various office projects. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, comfortable interacting with students, and capable of handling tasks in both Microsoft Office and creative platforms such as Adobe and Canva. Visitor Services Assistant – Morrill Hall ($15/hr)
Morrill Hall is currently seeking applicants for a Visitor Services Assistant on City Campus. Primary duties include assisting museum visitors at the front desk and in the gift shop such as greeting, interacting, and taking payment. Other duties include general communication with museum visitors, maintaining museum cleanliness, enforcing museum policy & stocking, and keeping an organized gift shop. Student Collection Assistant – Sheldon Museum of Art ($15/hr)
The museum is seeking an individual to systematically review and update artists' records in the collection management database, including artists' names, life dates, birth and death locations, as well as demographic information. This may also include updating any city and country names for non-U.S.-born artists, as appropriate. Search and/or contact other online databases, museum online collections, gallery representatives, or artists directly to find up-to-date information. Additionally, the collection assistant will assist curators with various other projects pertaining to upcoming exhibitions and/or publications. Undergraduate Education & Student Success (UESS) Communications Intern ($15/hr)
Undergraduate Education and Student Success, within UNL’s Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor, is looking for a creative, detail-oriented student to assist with the communication and social media efforts in our department. This position provides a hands-on opportunity to work on various communications projects and initiatives, giving the intern a wide variety of experiences. Key projects include creating social media content, writing newsletters and articles, tracking social media + communications analytics, and assisting with event marketing (Husker Student POWER Week, First Generation Week, Cornelius chatbot, etc.). Learning Communities Peer Mentor ($14.50/hr)
Learning Communities at Nebraska is hiring Peer Mentors for the 2026-2027 academic year. Learning Community (LC) Peer Mentors are upper-division students who provide support for first-year students and work with faculty and staff to enhance the experience of these students. The purpose of the Peer Mentor is to encourage and assist first-year students in their social and academic transition to UNL. Learning Community Peer Mentors work approximately 6-7 hours per week on a variety of projects and tasks including, but not limited to, planning programs and events related to the theme of the LC, holding weekly office hours to meet with students and build community, and connecting with each student individually periodically throughout the semester. Peer Mentors also work with the faculty and staff sponsors of their Learning Community to support the sponsor’s events and initiatives. Mentors also perform administrative duties such as tracking program attendance, assessing program effectiveness, and reporting students of concern. The Peer Mentor position is focused on fostering an excellent environment for first-year students and supporting them through their transition to college. Deadline to apply is February 14.
