Hi all,
So you know how I fell and face-planted two weeks ago? Well, yesterday morning, coming out of the Union when it was still icy, I fell AGAIN. This time, though, I fell properly (as in, not on my face). I fell into a sitting position, and I just sat there for a few seconds, rolling my eyes at myself. And then a student came up behind me, helped me up, and asked me if I was OK. He was very nice. This has never happened when I’ve fallen in front of other people so I was rather shocked. The last time something like this happened when (lots of) other people were around, I was flat on my back on an icy sidewalk and folks just be walking past me. I remember saying, loudly, “IT’S ALL RIGHT. I’M OK. THANKS FOR ASKING.” My dear students, please help each other up. It costs you nothing.
Also, I wanted to give y’all a heads up. I will be out of the office February 23-27 and March 9-13. Summer registration starts on Monday, March 2, so if we need to meet to discuss summer classes, please plan accordingly.
Keep on keepin’ on,
Dr. Lacey
