UNL Libraries will be hosting an upcoming student event called “AI & Ice Cream,” on Wednesday, March 25 at 11:am-1:30pm in the Adele Coryell Hall Learning Commons (behind Dunkin).
The event is informal and invites undergraduate and graduate students to enjoy free Dairy Store ice cream while participating in an open conversation about how AI is shaping their academic work, research, and creativity.
Whether students use AI tools regularly, avoid them entirely, or are still figuring out where they stand, this event is designed to create a judgment-free space for honest discussion. Library staff and faculty will help facilitate the conversation, but there will be no presentation or lecture—just open discussion, curiosity, and ice cream.
Students will have the opportunity to share:
> How they are currently using AI tools
> What excites or concerns them about AI in academic work
> Where they think AI may be headed in the future
Registration is optional but encouraged: https://go.unl.edu/n8gv
