My dear friend (we went to college in Green Bay together) and associate professor of poetry and creative nonfiction in the Writer's Workshop at UNO, Dr. Lisa Fay Coutley, is offering a trauma writing workshop in April.
Called "Infecting the Text: Letting Trauma Take its Necessary Shape," Dr. Coutley's workshop is focused on craft, idea/writing generation, and Q&A. She is the author of five poetry collections, a micromemoir, and editor of In the Tempered Dark, an anthology about grief. She is also the faculty advisor for UNO's undergraduate literary journal, 13th Floor and one of the instrumental faculty members in developing UNO's new Editing & Publishing minor.
"Infecting the Text" will be 1-3pm on Sunday, April 12 on Zoom. The cost is $30 for students. To register, email LFCediting@gmail.com with the word "Infecting" in the subject line.
