If climate change is important to you, you are in the right place. This issue impacts so many people, and it is easy to feel overwhelmed. What difference can one person make? The first step is to get educated on the problem. There is no better way to do that than to attend the Solve Climate by 2030 event.
On March 30 at 6:00pm via Zoom, you have an amazing opportunity to learn about all things related to climate change -- ranging from natural resources to social justice-- from nine speakers from UNL and the broader Nebraska community. The event will be broken into three panel discussions. The first panel features UNL professors Dr. Martha Shulski and Dr. George Limpert from the School of Natural Resources (SNR) and former SNR director and current member of the Nebraska Elder Climate Legacy Initiative, Don Wilhite. The second panel includes speakers from the non-profit and private sectors, and the third section features student leaders on campus.
Climate change is evolving and intensifying, and there is always something new to learn about it. It will take all of us to stop further environmental degradation. The first step toward change is learning more about the issue. This panel is an excellent opportunity to do that, and we hope to see you there!
