I lived and worked in Melbourne, Australia for three months as an intern for a startup business consulting company. I utilized my knowledge and skills from my political science major, as I was able to use my critical thinking skills to convey relevant information between my Aussie bosses and the American companies we were working with. During my time there I was fortunate to connect with a fellow Husker who had recently graduated and was working as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer, and I got to see what his work life entailed. Cherry on top was that I got to hold a koala!
