May 18: Lunch and Learn: Understanding Fire Response for Extension

Join us for a 30 minute Lunch and Learn focused on understanding fire response and Extension’s role during wildfire events. This session will be led by Ashley Ahrens, Extension Educator, Health and Wellbeing. Ashley also serves as an EMT and is an active member of the Chadron Volunteer Fire Department, bringing both Extension and emergency response perspectives to the conversation.
This practical and approachable webinar is designed to build shared understanding of how fire response works and how Extension fits into these efforts. Ashley will cover the basics of the Incident Command System, common fire service language, and what these systems mean for Extension faculty and staff during wildfire events.
The session is informal, accessible, and intended for anyone interested in better understanding wildfire response and how Extension supports communities before, during, and after these events.
