2019 has proven to be a challenging year throughout
the state and region with prolonged flooding,
continual intense rainfall and storm events, and
ongoing recovery efforts. There are many lessons
that can be learned in a year like 2019, but there are
areas that have gone through this devastation before
and were able to apply their prior knowledge to help
with recovery efforts. The following are local and
regional accounts of lessons learned or applied
during this year’s disasters.
