Long Term Recovery Groups (LTRG) continue to evolve in communities

LTRG Update: Nebraska *VOAD recently shared Nemaha County may be interested in forming an LTRG. NEVOAD reports a Buffalo County LTRG has been formed, bylaws are completed, and the LTRG is going to explore grant funding opportunities. The Nebraska Strong team serving Region V also shared that Saline County may be forming an LTRG.

About VOAD: The guiding principles of VOAD are the 4Cs - cooperation, communication, coordination, and collaboration. This member partnership helps build strong, resilient communities, and deliver hope in times of needs as we've seen with the 2019 disasters. NEVOAD is currently focusing on unmet needs and supporting communities as they continue response and recovery.

We will continue to see groups active in recovery efforts evolve as disaster recovery moves forward in our communities into Long-Term Recovery Groups. To better understand LTRG's please review the webinar on Flood Employee Resources. More details https://flood.unl.edu/employee-resources
