Virtual Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) Training

There were many lessons learned from the 2019 flooding events. For many of us, Multi-Agency Resource Centers (MARC) were a new space to navigate.

Nebraska Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (NEVOAD) is hosting several opportunities to participate in virtual trainings on MARC’s in July and August. The 1.5 hour training covers the general framework of a MARC and operational aspects including set up, operation, and close down. There will also be discussion on lessons learned from the 2019 MARCs and exploring virtual MARCs during a pandemic.

Please share this opportunity widely within your communities and area organizations. You are also invited to take part in the trainings. NEVOAD describes this training as a great learning opportunity for service agencies, government organizations, non-profits, Emergency Managers, faith-based organizations, tribal partners, or any agency looking to help during times of disaster.

Registrations are recommended. Go to https://go.unl.edu/marc.
