I Can Help Train the Trainer Scheduled 5/29 via ZOOM for Extension Faculty and Staff

This webinar is for Extension Faculty and Staff who are interested in becoming a trained co-facilitator for the I Can Help Curriculum. Through our partnership with Big Red Resilience and Well-being in the Office of Student Affairs, we are able to offer Mental Health Awareness Train the Trainer based on the I Can Help curriculum.

Training outcomes include:
Demonstrate basic reflecting skills and operationalize compassion;
Describe key components of increased risk of suicide attempts;
Explain the connection between mental health and basic needs, including housing & food;
Identify why asking about suicide in the now is critical to risk reduction;
Apply the three-step-theory (3ST) to respond to someone in crisis:
Describe referral resources; and
Define suicide postvention.

This training is 3 hours and will occur via ZOOM.
