SEAS Officer Elections

All,

I hope everyone is staying warm, especially with all this snow!

Below is the link to the SEAS Elections for 2020/2021. I would like to reiterate that there are not enough nominations for all positions and write-in nominees will be accepted. For this club to remain part of the department, there will need to be at least one nominee for President, according to the University rules. Without a President, the club can only remain inactive for a limited time until it is dissolved. I am stepping down as President as I am no longer in the department and I will need to be replaced.

For this academic year, the goal is to survive the pandemic and to remain inactive until the following year. The duties for this year will be to sign forms and to attend a short training. Plus, it looks great on a resume! All students in the Earth and Atmospheric Department are allowed to hold officer positions, including undergraduates and graduates.

This club has the potential for great benefits for the department, including career mentoring, increasing camaraderie, supporting new students, recruitment of new majors to increase interest and diversity, etc.

Elections will conclude February 10th. Questions can be sent to students.of.eas@gmail.com. Thank you, everyone!
