Save time and money by using the University Health Center Pharmacy
Did you know the University Health Center has a full-service pharmacy that you are eligible to use? Here are a few reasons you may want to try this service.
1. It’s convenient
Pick up your prescription without leaving campus. We also offer curbside pickup and free mail-order delivery. We are open over the summer Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. During the fall and spring semesters, we will be open Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Wednesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
2. We are here for all your prescription needs
We fill prescriptions from health center and non-health center providers. Call 402.472.7457 to transfer an existing prescription. If you are prescribed a new prescription, tell your provider to send the script to our pharmacy. We offer worry-free automatic refills, and 90-day supplies are available for certain prescriptions. Certain prescriptions, such as birth control, are offered at a discounted rate.
3. Our over-the-counter products are affordable
We offer hundreds of products: cold and flu medicine, allergy medicines, vitamins, pregnancy tests, emergency contraception, first aid kit supplies, menstrual products, condoms and more. Most items are cheaper than what you’ll find at off-campus drug stores. If there is an item you need that we don’t routinely carry, let us know and we will try to special order it for you. Single doses of ibuprofen, antacid and acetaminophen are free.
4. Our customer service is next to none
Our staff takes the time to ensure you fully understand any medication you are prescribed. We will discuss how often to take the medicine, what to do if you miss a dose, possible side effects and more. If you need an over-the-counter medicine to treat your symptoms, our staff are knowledgeable and can offer you suggestions personalized to fit your needs.
5. Our new mobile app makes the experience easy
Download our new Nebraska Medicine Pharmacy app to request refills, check a prescription status, schedule refill reminders and more. Text “APP” to 54053 to download.
6. We offer diverse payment options
We accept most insurance plans as well as cash, check, NCard, health savings account cards and major credit cards. Copay assistance options are available, and we offer enrollment assistance.
