Free Student Membership in the Nebraska Geological Society
Student membership in the Nebraska Geological Society is free for any interested student. Membership information is available HERE.
The object of the Society is to advance and promote the science of geology and the geological profession by encouraging relationships, contacts and cooperation among geologists, allied scientists, other earth scientists, earth science students, and all people sincerely interested in the Earth Sciences.
Once a student is a Member, they will receive invitations to NGS events and programs, including our annual field trip, online seminars, and at least four in-person meetings, where they can meet professionals who practice geoscience in private industry, government and academia across many sub-disciplines.
This year, we are having a very special social event, A Night at the Nebraska State Museum, September 15, featuring happy hour (5:30pm), a meal (7:00pm), and a program (7:30pm) by George Corner, the museum’s collections manager, entitled “The Nebraska State Museum – its history and collections”.
Best of all, this event is sponsored by the Nebraska Geological Society and comes at no cost to Student Members!
Space is limited. Registration ends September 4. Registrations are taken on a first come, first served basis. The registration page is HERE.
Thank you and best regards,
