March 8 – March 15: Winter talks delve into U.S., Latin American relations
Scholars from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Kearney, Nebraska Wesleyan and Vanderbilt University will present a series of lectures focusing on the relationship between the U.S. and Latin America. The next lecture is on Mar. 8, “ Why States turn Right: The Case of Brazil” presented by UNL professor Courtney Hillebrecht, Political Science.

March 4 – April 8: Upcoming Information Sessions for International and National Fellowships
The Office of Fellowships is hosting several information sessions on a variety of international and national fellowships for students after graduation. Fulbright information sessions will also be offered beginning on Mar. 12 at 3:30 PM.

March 18 & April 8: Workshops for hosts of international scholars, employees
The International Student and Scholar Office will offer upcoming workshops for faculty and staff who host and support international scholars and employees. All workshops are free but require registration. On March 18 from 8:30 to 10:00 AM, the office will host a workshop for faculty and staff looking to host exchange visitors. An April 8 workshop, 8:30 to 10:00 AM in the Nebraska Union (Regency A), will focus on sponsoring an international employee for permanent residency in the United States.

March 5: Cargill Global Scholars Program [Students]
The Cargill Global Scholars Program (CGSP) is a distinctive, two-year scholarship program that provides financial support to undergraduate students in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Russia, and the United States. The CGSP offers leadership development opportunities through seminars, networking events and a one-on-one mentoring program facilitated by Cargill volunteers globally, and an alumni network that will help you keep connected with past, current, and future scholars. Two Huskers have won this scholarship in the last two years: Cooper Wright and Patrick Baker.

April 27: São Paulo Researchers in International Collaboration call for proposals [Faculty]
Nebraska's Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) in partnership with the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) announce the call for proposals under the SPRINT initiative - São Paulo Researchers in International Collaboration. The call aims to promote the engagement of researchers affiliated with higher education and research institutions in the State of São Paulo in partnership with researchers abroad in order to: further develop qualitatively the ongoing research projects and work cooperatively, with the purpose of elaborating joint research projects for the medium and long term.
The application deadline is April 27, 2020.
