Strategic plan sets university’s course to 2025, beyond with local and global reach
A bold five-year strategic plan that calls for growth in graduation rates, research expenditures and hands-on, real-world experiences for all students is setting the foundation for a transformative 25-year blueprint at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Many of the aims outlined in the plan call for the university to provide students with global experiences, increase international partnership engagement, and support research and scholarship that helps solve global grand challenges.

Daugherty's global focus flows into statewide impacts
The international mission of the University of Nebraska’s Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute is flowing into benefits across the Cornhusker State. Founded in 2010 through a 15-year gift from the Daugherty Foundation, the institute today includes more than 120 associated faculty fellows researching more than 500 water and food security projects in 58 nations. In Nebraska, Daugherty-led projects are making direct community impacts from water use to community collaboration and next-generation business models.

Huskers pledge to prioritize diversity, inclusion
“I pledge to check my bias, speak up for others and show up for all.” That simple phrase was the focus, and promise, of Huskers who gathered at the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts Feb. 5 for the CEO Action Diversity and Inclusion Pledge. Students, faculty and staff were able to sign the pledge via several computers set up in the Carson Center.

Looking back on a decade of momentum
