The first annual Flag Hunt will celebrate the rich diversity of UNL’s students during International Education Week.

The International Student & Scholar Office (ISSO) is excited to host the first annual Flag Hunt during International Education Week (IEW) from November 12-16. Students can search city campus for five international flags with matching student spotlight sheets, take a photo, and be entered to win a $50 to the campus bookstore.

Beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 12, students can look for the flags around city campus and learn more about the UNL global community by reading the corresponding international student spotlight sheet. After taking a photo, students earn an entry for the $50 gift card by posting the photo to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with the hashtag #GlobalNebraska. Students can earn up to five entries total with the photos, plus two bonus entries for following ISSO (@UNLISSO) and Global Nebraska (@GlobalNebraska) on social media.

The deadline to submit entries is Friday, November 16 at 12:00 p.m. The grand prize winner will be announced live on the ISSO Facebook page on Monday, November 19 at 1:00 p.m.

IEW is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. As part of a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, International Education Week showcases programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and promotes the opportunity to experience new cultures.
