Where should I place my education section?
-Young MBA (0-3 years of work experience) or Career Changer- list your education section towards the top of your resume. Leverage this credential and the skills you gained from your MBA in your job search.
-Mid-career or Experienced MBA- list your education section towards the bottom of your resume. Showcase your professional work experiences and qualifications, which are your strongest asset.
Headline section suggestions: relevant coursework, related experience, employment experience, additional experience, skills, certifications
Bullet Statement Advice:
-Write in brief, results-oriented statements, not just tasks and responsibilities.
-Start with strong action verbs.
-Whenever possible, quantify the results of your work. Did you reduce costs, increase sales, reduce lead time, reduce staff turnover, improve client satisfaction ratings? Use numbers, dollar values or percentages.
-Answer these questions: What was the problem you addressed? What were the actions you took? What were the results or purpose? What skills did you use or develop?
-Incorporate keywords that are meaningful to your target industry.
-Avoid personal pronouns (I, me, my).
