International exchange has been a driving force in creating peace and understanding in our world for decades, but also for spurring innovation and encouraging the development of bright minds from around the world.

Hear from three accomplished international graduate students who made their way to Nebraska via Fulbright programs this Friday, April 17 from 11 a.m. to noon CST via Zoom. They’ll discuss their fascinating paths from their home countries to the U.S., share about their Nebraska experience, and what the future holds for them in their varied areas of research.

  • Gabriela Palomo-Munoz, PhD student in Natural Resources (Applied Ecology) & Graduate Teaching Assistant, Instructor for NRES-498/Introduction to R. Gabriela is a 2017-2019 Fulbright alumna from Guatemala City, Guatemala.
  • Agustín Olivo, Master’s student in Mechanized Systems Management, Graduate Research Assistant - Schmidt Lab. Agustín is a 2017 Friends of Fulbright Program Alumnus from Cordoba, Argentina.
  • Kiki Rizki Amalia, Master’s student in Statistics. Kiki is a 2018-2020 current Fulbright scholar from Kuningan, a small town in West Java, Indonesia.
