Research-active faculty, graduate students invited to hear Dr. Ebony McGee on diversity in STEM

Dr. Ebony McGee of Vanderbilt Peabody College will speak at the annual Collaboration Initiative Retreat on October 30 at 10 a.m., followed by a smaller-group discussion opportunity from 11 a.m. to noon. Dr. McGee’s remarks are titled, “Black, Brown, Bruised: How Racialized STEM Education Stifles Innovation.” Registration closes October 16.

Dr. McGee remarks will focus on the issue and practices that faculty can utilize that may result in a more diverse STEM graduate/research student body and workforce. All research-active faculty are invited to the Collaboration Initiative Retreat, however, non-research faculty, staff and others may find Dr. McGee’s remarks insightful and helpful.
