When we teach, it is easy to fall into using mainly quizzes and exams for assessment. However, there are many other ways to assess your students' learning. This workshop will introduce alternate methods of assessment and help you develop methods that you can use in classes you teach.
Smaller formative assessment activities (reflective writings, problem sets, etc.) will not only give you and your students a better understanding of their progress in class but will help you clarify misunderstandings earlier.
