The Association for Women in Science will host a watch party for "Picture a Scientist: Q&A with Dr. Jane Willenbring and Co-Director Ian Cheney," a recorded discussion with the associate professor of geological sciences at Stanford University and the co-director of the film.
The virtual event will be held on March 12 from 9:30 – 11 a.m. on Zoom. Registration is available online.
Topics covered in the Q&A will be different types of harassment, how allies can help support women and minority scientists, and suggestions for policy changes that organizations could take. Small group breakout sessions will follow to discuss the movie, the Q&A, and to share individual perspectives.
