Consultations on job documents, career exploration available to graduate students and postdocs

The Office of Graduate Studies office provides consultations on a variety of topics. Graduate students and postdocs may schedule consultations or submit documents on any of the following topics:

  • Reviewing job documents (CV, resume, cover letter, teaching statement, research statement, diversity statement)
  • Career exploration or the job search process (for academia or industry)
  • Mock interviews or job talks
  • Reviewing fellowship or grant application materials (esp. for the NSF GRFP)
  • Teaching observations and consultations
Consultations can be scheduled Friday mornings for 30 minutes or you can email us to schedule an appointment at another time. To schedule a consultation, visit this website and schedule your appointment or submit your materials on the form on the same page.

These Canvas modules also offer a variety of professional development topics including writing a cover letter or CV and resume, networking, and interviewing to name a few.
