Death, Dying and Grieving: GERO 873-001 | Spring 2022 | Graduate Seminar | Mondays, NH W128, 4:30-7:10 p.m.

A course designed for graduate students seeking an in-depth discussion about end-of-life issues.

Course Goal: The purpose of this course is to provide students with an overview of the concepts and theories of death, dying, and grieving with an emphasis on the older adult. We will also examine the impact of a global pandemic on the aging experience. Students are given the opportunity to acquire knowledge about death, dying, and grieving through course readings, class discussions, short movies/digital materials, and the completion of course requirements.
