The Writing Center will host a weekly writing accountability group for graduate students during the Fall 2022 semester. This writing accountability group will be held over Zoom from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Fridays, October 7 through December 9. Graduate students from all departments and degree programs are welcome. There is no cost for this program.
What is a Writing Accountability Group?
A writing accountability group meets every week at a set time to work on individual writing projects. Instead of exchanging work or offering feedback on drafts, students will dedicate this meeting time to setting achievable writing goals and making progress on their writing.
Why join a Writing Accountability Group?
Writing accountability groups are a great way to get work done! You can expect to spend a dedicated amount of time each week on your writing, meet other graduate students who are working on interesting topics across the disciplines, and develop writing habits that will benefit your work throughout your career.
If you are interested in joining this accountability group, and if you can commit to attending this group on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., please complete this online form no later than Monday, October 3.
Please sign up for this group only if you are available and if you can commit to attending at least half of these meetings. Accountability groups work when everyone agrees to show up!
If you have any questions or would like to learn more about the writing support services the Writing Center offers graduate students, please email Emma Catherine Perry, associate director of the Writing Center at ecp@unl.edu.
