Judges needed for poster presentations during Research Days

More than 300 students will present at Student Research Days on March 28 and 29. As part of this event, students may compete in a poster competition. Faculty, postdocs, or graduate students are invited to judge these posters. Judges will be assigned up to 4-6 research presentations to evaluate with a provided rubric and score sheet. Judges are particularly needed those in the following fields (or related disciplines), but all are welcome to volunteer:

  • Engineering (all fields)
  • Chemistry
  • Natural Resources
  • Biological Sciences/Biochemistry
  • Food Sciences and Technology
  • Architecture
  • Social Sciences/Education (includes a variety of disciplines including Anthropology, Psychology, CYAF, Education Research, Communication Studies)
Each day will feature separate disciplines with the poster session held in person in the Nebraska Union.

Undergraduate sessions will be in the morning from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and graduate sessions in the afternoon from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Please plan to sign up for days/times that match your area(s) of expertise so that students may be judged by those in their field or a closely related field.

Please note that faculty and postdocs may judge undergraduate or graduate posters. Graduate students may only judge undergraduate posters.

  • March 28: Engineering and Physical Sciences*
  • March 29: Arts and Humanities, Education, Business, Social Sciences, Life Sciences
* Please note that physical sciences will include Chemistry, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics.
