Hannah Guenther, rural health Extension educator, offered some advice to set yourself up for a successful Thanksgiving meal, from the preceding days through when all the guests have gone home.
1. Clean out your refrigerator to make room for your ingredients.
2. Plan ahead to thaw your turkey safely.
3. Do not wash your turkey.
4. Keep warm things warm and cold things cold.
5. Don’t store your leftovers in the refrigerator for too long. Freeze what you will not eat right away.
