Abdelrahman Awawdeh is a Ph.D. student and Graduate Research Assistant in Construction Engineering and Management at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His research focuses on the behavior of concrete insulated wall panels under various loading conditions. Driven by a passion for solving complex engineering problems, Abdelrahman is dedicated to advancing innovation and enhancing safety in the construction industry.

In the structures lab, Abdelrahman conducts experimental and analytical research on insulated concrete panels. His work bridges the gap between theory and practice, ensuring that research findings directly contribute to safer and more efficient building practices. His role includes designing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and collaborating with fellow researchers to interpret results.

One of Abdelrahman’s proudest moments was presenting his research at a national conference, where he received recognition for his contributions. He recalls the experience as both validating and inspiring, as it underscored the potential impact of his work on the construction industry.

Abdelrahman is a huge football (soccer) fan! He credits the sport for teaching him valuable lessons about teamwork, resilience, and strategy, which he applies to his work. Football has also introduced him to lifelong friends. His favorite team? Hala Madrid!
