Thursdays: SNAP Benefits Enrollment with Food Bank of Lincoln

Can't make the special events on October 9 or November 5? SNAP coordinators are available every Thursday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center (JGMC) for walk-in appointments throughout the semester. No appointment needed!

Many students don't realize they may qualify for SNAP benefits. Students who meet certain criteria are eligible, including those who:
- Work at least 20 hours per week
- Participate in federal work-study programs
- Care for dependents
- Meet other specific income and enrollment criteria

Not sure if a student qualifies? If a student is on the fence or unsure whether they meet the criteria, please encourage them to connect with a coordinator—there's no obligation, and the conversation can help clarify their options. If you work with students who may be experiencing food insecurity or financial strain, please consider sharing this opportunity with them. SNAP benefits can provide significant monthly support for grocery expenses, allowing students to focus more fully on their academic success.
