How to Volunteer
If you are interested in serving as a reviewer for this term, please respond to this email or contact us directly at:
gtap@unl.edu or gsa@unl.edu
Please indicate:
-Your willingness to review for Travel Awards, Research Activity Awards, or both
-Your areas of expertise or disciplinary focus
-Any scheduling constraints we should be aware of

As soon as faculty members confirm their participation as reviewers, they will receive access to the full applicant list to assess any potential conflicts of interest. We kindly ask that disclosures be submitted as promptly as possible.

Each reviewer will be assigned approximately 5–7 applications, depending on availability and field alignment. We aim to balance the workload equitably across the committee.

Once conflicts are cleared, reviewers will receive their assigned applications along with a rubric and confidentiality protocol. Reviews will be conducted independently, and they’ll reconvene for a brief calibration session before final decisions. While they strive to match reviewers with applications in their general area of expertise, the grant supports interdisciplinary work. Reviewers are not required to be in the exact field but should feel comfortable evaluating the proposal’s clarity, significance, and feasibility.
