Need help improving your Canvas course accessibility before the new Title II guidelines take effect? Join Academic Technologies (AT) and the Center for Transformative Teaching (CTT) for a “Boost Your Score” event in January! These are three virtual work sessions designed to give you hands-on support in making your course materials more accessible.
As of April 2026, all instructional materials posted to Canvas and university websites - including documents, PowerPoints, and PDFs - must comply with ADA Title II accessibility standards. These sessions offer dedicated time to help you prepare, with experts in the room in case you need help!
Date: January 6, 7, and 8
Time: 10 am to 12 noon (Zoom)
Register: HERE!
This three-day event gives faculty and staff focused time to enhance the accessibility of their course content. You’ll work in your own Zoom breakout room with support from Academic Technologies and Center for Transformative Teaching staff whenever you need it. Whether you’re unsure where to start or ready to fine-tune your materials, you’ll receive personalized help identifying and resolving accessibility issues.
By the end of the event, you’ll leave with more accessible materials, a boosted Ally score, and greater confidence in your remediation skills - putting you well on your way to meeting upcoming Title II requirements.
