If you are new to teaching and would like resources to help you there are a variety of resources to help you.
Canvas Modules: Every TA would attends our TA Orientation in August is automatically added to our Canvas Modules. This includes resources on grading and assessment, builiding rapport and classroom management, and lesson planning as well as resources and policies for TAs. If you did not attend, you can still be added---just email Lisa Rohde.
Teaching Observations: Each semester between the 4th and 9th week of the semester we offer teaching observations. This is a great way to get feedback on your teaching and improve what you do. Check out the Teaching Development Program here.
CIRTL:CIRTL is a national network that offers free online courses, workshops and training on teaching. Grad Students and Postdocs can also earn certifications to demonstrate your teaching knowledge if you would like to be a faculty member in the future. CIRLT Website. UNL CIRTL Website.
