WHERE: Nebraska Innovation Campus Conference Center First Floor B Rooms (If unable to attend the luncheon, the presentation is also being live streamed.)
KEYNOTE: Presented by Kristi Jensen, Program Development Lead for the eLearning Support Initiative at the University of Minnesota Libraries, the keynote Setting Yourself Up for Success with Open Educational Resources (OER): Find It, Use It, Create and Share It considers the nearly two decades of OER and the factors impacting faculty interest in recent years. New models of publishing high quality, peer reviewed open textbooks, the soaring cost of textbooks and higher education in general, and a push to transform teaching and learning in higher education have led many faculty to consider both their teaching practices and the content used in the classroom. In this session you can learn more about OER - what it is and why you might want to consider using it, how to find OER that meets your teaching and learning needs, how you can create and share OER, and what other faculty are doing with OER in their classrooms today.
