Conduct your research or teach English as a Fulbright Scholar abroad!
Nebraska graduate students are encouraged to apply for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program to pursue independent research projects or to assist English language instructors in classrooms across the globe. From biology to performing arts, students in all academic fields have the potential to receive a grant and travel to one of more than 155 countries.
Fulbright grants provide round-trip airfare, language or orientation courses (when applicable), book and research allowances, a monthly stipend for the length of the award, supplemental health and accident insurance and, in some cases, tuition and funds for spousal support.
Requirements and Application
To apply for the next cycle (AY 2019-2020), students should prepare a Fulbright application this summer for submission by September 7. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent before the start date of the grant.
