Active learning means designing materials that require students to be actively involved in class and engaging with the concepts in a meaningful way, and preparing these materials is vital to successful teaching. It’s not, however, an easy task. Dr. Maia Popova, a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Chemistry, will discuss strategies and techniques for preparing material to be used in a Hands-On/Active classroom.
Note: This workshop will count towards CIRTL Certification.
