Nominations are now being accepted for the 2019-2020 class of Preparing Future Faculty fellows. Deadline: Friday, March 1, 2019.
The Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) program at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is a professional development opportunity for doctoral students interested in pursuing a faculty position. Once selected, fellows are enrolled in GRDC 900A, 900B, and 900D, earning two credit hours for participation in the summer seminar and one credit hour for participating in a structured mentoring experience at a partner campus with a faculty member in the fellow's discipline or a related field.
NOTE: The summer seminar will be offered during the 2019 Pre-Session from May 20 to June 7.
To nominate a doctoral student, simply email his or her name with contact information to Erin Omar (eomar2@unl.edu), and we'll follow up with an application and program details. The program is limited to a total of 35 students.
So that we can accommodate as many departments as we possible, we ask that you limit nominations to 2-3 students per department. Past experience shows that students who are in (at least) their third year of a doctoral program benefit most from this program. Please submit your nominations by Friday, March 1, 2019.
