Dear Colleagues in Graduate Education,

I am pleased to announce that Kelsey Sims has joined the Office of Graduate Studies as our new Doctoral Programs Coordinator.

In this role, Kelsey will be Graduate Studies’ primary resource for doctoral students and for faculty and staff engaged in graduate education. She will provide direction for procedures and interpretation of Graduate College policies. She will also serve as the contact for all required forms and processes related to doctoral programs, including the appointment of supervisory committees; doctoral program of studies; application for admission to candidacy; application for final oral examination; and reports of completion.

Kelsey has been at UNL since 2014, most recently in the Child, Youth and Family Studies department. Her experience with university systems and academic programs will be a great asset in supporting graduate education for the entire campus.

Kelsey is currently working on her M.S.Ed. in Higher Education Student Affairs through the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She was born in raised in Nebraska, living in a few different small towns including Bruning, Geneva, and Ord before ultimately calling Lincoln home. When Kelsey isn’t working toward her master’s, she is playing sand volleyball, painting, going to sprint car races, and spending time with her family and friends.

Please join me in welcoming Kelsey to the Graduate Studies team.

Tim
